Perhaps a little getaway is just what Gwyneth Paltrow needs.

On the heels Vanity Fair's editor-in-chief Graydon Carter's confirmation that the magazine will indeed run an apparently controversial piece on the 41-year-old star, the World's Most Beautiful Woman was spotted arriving at LAX via a private driver for a departing flight out of town.

Paltrow's getaway also comes after Martha Stewart seemingly dissed the Goop goddess this week, so it's safe to say the mother of two just may need some time away from L.A.

Chris Martin's missus wore dark shades and kept her head down as she walked through the terminal, looking travel chic in simple tee, jeans, a trendy black jacket and spiked Christian Louboutin flats.

On Tuesday, Graydon Carter told London's Times Magazine in an interview published Sunday that Vanity Fair plans to print a story on the actress, despite Paltrow's protest.

"We started a story on her. We have a very good writer and it'll run," Carter said. "Well, she sort of forced my hand."

Sources have confirmed to E! News that Paltrow, upon hearing that VF was planning an article that seemed to have turned into a why-people-love-to-hate-on-Gwyneth type of piece, sent emails to people in her circle encouraging them not to cooperate with the magazine.

"Some famous people believe that they live in a cone of celebrity that protects them...But it doesn't really exist anymore in L.A. unless they stay in," Carter told the paper. "I mean, you can be a well-known movie star and go decades without getting an embarrassing picture in a magazine just by leading a quiet, normal life."

That same day, Martha Stewart sounded off on Paltrow's ventures into the lifestyle business and seemingly threw some shade at the super-fit star.

"I haven't eaten at Gwyneth's house, and I have never seen how she lives," Stewart said while speaking to Bloomberg TV. "But, if she's authentic, all the better, and I certainly hope she is. She really wants to be part of the lifestyle business."

And despite calling Paltrow a "charming, pretty person who has a feeling for lifestyle," the 72-year-old homemaking maven made sure to note:

"I think I started this whole category of lifestyle."

Enjoy your time away, Gwyneth!
