Neil Patrick Harris took to Twitter on Wednesday to show off the first poster promoting the upcoming Broadway production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
"Hedwig News! The first ad image was just released, and I get to debut it!" Harris wrote along with the image.
In the production, slated to hit the Great White Way next spring, the 40-year-old actor will play Hedwig, an East German transgender singer and leader of a rock 'n roll band.
"I am simultaneously ecstatic and terrified to be stepping into Hedwig's heels," Harris said in a statement when news of his casting was announced back in June. "It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime role, and I can't wait to begin the journey."
When E! News caught up with Harris at the Los Angeles premiere of The Smurfs 2 in July, he joked, "I'm going to have to do a lot of shaving and tucking."
The How I Met Your Mother star is no stranger to the stage. Not only has he hosted the Tonys, but he starred opposite Anne Heche in the drama Proof and played the Emcee in Cabaret in 2003.
