Jada Pinkett Smith and Britney Spears are taking a trip to Europe together.

Smith and her band, Wicked Wisdom, will be opening for the platinum pop princess before eight concert dates on Spears' Onyx Hotel Tour in England in April and May.

Scoring the Spears gig is Wicked Wisdom's biggest accomplishment to date since Smith formed the band about a year ago.

Smith has been performing in small Los Angeles venues over the past few months, honing her vocal chops.

The thesp has reportedly been singing all her life, but chose to make acting her priority.

She and hubby Will Smith are also famously family oriented, and make plenty of time for their children.

The pair proved their parenting priorities when they departed the 2002 Academy Awards early to care for their sick daughter--despite the fact that the Best Actor category, in which Will Smith was nominated for Ali, had not yet been announced. (He lost anyway.)

Despite her foray into the world of rock, Smith is keeping her day job.

Next up for the Matrix alum is action-thriller Collateral with Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx, due out later this year.

She'll also provide the voice for Gloria the Hippo in the upcoming animated film, Madagascar. Funnymen Chris Rock and Ben Stiller voice other jungle beasts in the film, which is due in theaters in 2005.
