Jaime King and Kyle Newman are now the proud parents of a baby boy! The Hart of Dixie actress and the Chewie filmmaker broke the news via Twitter and Instagram on Sunday, Oct. 6.
This is the first child for King, 34, and Newman, 37, who married in November 2007 after meeting on the set of the movie Fanboys two years earlier. The couple announced the former model's pregnancy in May 2013. The new parents have yet to reveal their little one's name.
Newman shared a picture of their newborn holding his hand on Instagram. "Nice to meet you! #FATHER #IMADAD #BABYTIME @jaime_king is doing amazing! The most incredible feeling," the director captioned.
King took a more humorous approach, sharing an Instagram picture of The Lion King's Rafiki presenting Simba at Pride Rock. "BABY'S FIRST PICTURE!!" she joked in the caption.
The first-time parents received several congratulatory messages via Twitter from friends and fans alike. "HUGE congrats to @Jaime_King & @kyle_newman on their brand new human," actor David Blue tweeted. "Fantastic parentals + coolest/ nerdiest kid on Earth."
