Jenni "JWoww" Farley is no fan of Chris Christie—but she admits she shouldn't have called him the R-word.

And we don't mean Republican.

"Caught off guard last night and said things I normally don't say," the former Jersey Shore resident, who now stars on JWoww & Snooki, tweeted today after telling TMZ last night that she thought the New Jersey governor was "retarded."

"I find it disgusting people are still against gay marriage..." she also wrote. "So because of that I called chris Christie a name which wasn't appropriate. I do find him disgusting and judgmental. I'm for gay equality."

"So I apologize for my choice of words but I do not apologize for how I feel towards him," JWoww concluded, adding, "'@nathanorf: @JENNIWOWW no freedom until we're equal.' That's basically it. No opinion should stop anyone from marriage or happiness."

The 27-year-old tanning enthusiast must have been most pleased last week then when a New Jersey judge ruled that the state had a legal obligation to allow same-sex couples to marry—a rebuff to Christie, who vetoed a bill passed by the legislature last year that would have allowed gay marriage.

Sure enough, JWoww retweeted a link to a Time article about the news, and later got in on the backlash over an anti-gay remark made by the CEO of Pasta Barilla.

"Now I know why I hate barilla pasta.... @jowayyy thank god I don't eat that crap especially since the CEO is against gays," she tweeted yesterday.

The animosity against Christie also stems from her and BFF Snooki's run-in with the governor in May on the boardwalk, where he purportedly told them that they were "bad for Jersey."

"Nicole simply wanted to know once and for all why Gov. Christie dislikes the cast of Jersey Shore," Snooki's rep told E! News at the time.

"The show brought the beloved summer destination a significant amount of revenue during its six seasons on MTV. Nicole loves, respects and admires her adopted state of New Jersey which she now resides in with her family. "

In addition to letting the R-word fly last night, JWoww also cracked that Christie was a "disgrace to New Jersey—just like we were."
