Like everyone else, Ed Sheeran has an opinion on Miley Cyrus' twerking during last month's MTV Video Music Awards.

Yes, a month on from the booty shake that shook the world, the British heartthrob is sounding off on the "Wrecking Ball" singer's provocative dancing, saying that while he thinks she's talented, Cyrus isn't going about selling her music and putting her Hannah Montana past behind her the right way.

"I think she's got an amazing voice," the 22-year-old Sheeran told the Daily Mirror (via the Daily Mail). "I just think she's packaged the wrong way."

He elaborated on Miley's new, highly sexualized image: "When I first heard 'Wrecking Ball,' I thought it was a brilliant song, but the video distracts too much from it."

As for her twerking, Ed felt it set a poor example for Cyrus' younger fans who were watching. "I think encouraging young people to twerk might be a bad thing," Sheeran noted. "It's a stripper's move. If I had a daughter of nine, I wouldn't want her twerking."

No doubt, he'll make a good dad someday.

The singer-songwriter, who can get by without twerking with just he and his guitar, shot to fame Stateside after guesting on Taylor Swift's fourth album Red and penning songs for One Direction.

Speculation was rife that Sheeran was dating songstress Ellie Goulding after they were caught holding hands during the VMAs—news which he later confirmed after they had already broken up.

Meanwhile when he's not offering up his take on Miley's artistic decisions, the Grammy nominee is set to lend his own creative expertise to contestants on season five of NBC's The Voice as he's signed on to serve as a mentor for Christina Aguilera's team.
