Jennifer Lawrence is reteaming with her Hunger Games director Gary Ross!

The Oscar winner will reunite with Ross for his upcoming adaptation of John Steinbeck's American novel East of Eden, Deadline reports. Lawrence would play Cathy Ames, the cruel, estranged wife of the story's protagonist, Adam Trask, who ends up working in a brothel as a prostitute. Ross reportedly wants to tell the story over two films.

In 1955, a film adaptation of East of Eden was made starring James Dean.

Lawrence sure has a history of staying loyal to her directors. She's starred in two of David O. Russell's features (Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle) and will have made three with Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence after she finishes filming the last two Mockingjay films in the franchise.

She's also starred in three different films alongside Bradley Cooper (Silver Linings Playbook, Serena and American Hustle).

Meanwhile, Lawrence is busy filming the Mockingjay movies in Atlanta. She was spotted arriving in Georgia over the weekend, as was her costar Liam Hemsworth. Mockingjay is set to film for the next several months.
