This is like the ultimate story of boy saves girl, except with a lot of guns and Drake's vocals in the background.

On the same day Drizzy's new album Nothing Was the Same was released, the rapper unveiled the music video for his hit single "Hold On, We're Going Home," except it was less of a music video and more of a little movie (think Kanye West's "Runaway," but not quite as long).

The 7-minute Scarface-like clip takes place in Miami in 1985 and features appearances from Majid Jordan, A$AP Rocky, Fredo Santana and Ashley Moore—yes, the same girl who was spotted having lunch with Justin Bieber not too long ago—as the female lead.

Ovo

The video opens with the group enjoying a lavish dinner while toasting to their success, until Drizzy gets a phone call that his lady has been abducted (in her white negligee, just FYI).

Then the crew rolls out, hits up Drake's spot to get their guns and face masks, and goes out to save his love. Oh, and there's a rat in the group, too! Dun, dun, dunnn...

The music video is all very theatrical and exciting to watch, whether or not it fits with the song and whether or not it takes away from the song is up to you.

Watch the clip and tell us what you think in the comments!
