Not feeling so dapper, Jon Hamm

The Mad Men star, who is nominated for an Emmy for his portrayal of the debonair Don Draper on the hit AMC series, was spotted near his Los Angeles home on Thursday where he was snapped sporting a very scruffy beard.

Hamm looked barely recognizable with his bushy facial hair, wearing a flannel shirt, newsboy cap and black boots, looking nothing like his impeccably dressed TV character, who is always seen rocking stylish suits.

While the 42-year-old actor may have dressed down for a casual afternoon of running errands, he'll presumably step into a fancy tuxedo this Sunday for the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards which will be held at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.

No word yet whether he'll sport a clean-shaven look as well.

The handsome star is nominated for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series, a nomination he's received for five consecutive years since 2008, although he has failed to take home the highly coveted trophy.

Damien Lewis won Emmy last year for Best Actor in a Drama Series for his performance on Homeland. He is nominated again this year in addition to Breaking Bad's Bryan CranstonDownton Abbey's Hugh BonnevilleHouse of CardsKevin Spacey and The Newsroom's Jeff Daniels

Mad Men also received its sixth consecutive Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama series. The AMC show won the award for four consecutive years until 2012, when Showtime hit Homeland broke Mad Men's winning streak.

In fact, Mad Men was seriously snubbed last year, setting a record for all-time Emmy losses. The show received 17 nominations, but failed to nab a single award.
