In a tradition as old as the 65-year-old show, actresses have left us speechless with over-the-top outfits throughout the decades.
Take Family Ties star Tina Yothers' hard-to-miss '80s getup of tons of tulle, lacy gloves and even a teased side ponytail, or Playboy model Tess Smith's scanty frock which was one gust of wind away from becoming a scandalous wardrobe malfunction.
And then there was Everybody Loves Raymond's Patricia Heaton, whose daringly colorful 2004 gown left us dizzy with its multihued design.
