Liam Hemsworth's gal Eiza González has landed herself a new gig!

The 23-year-old Mexican actress will costar in the upcoming comedy flick All Hail the Squash Blossom Queen, the film's director Adrian Cervantes exclusively tells E! News.

"Eiza won't play a Hispanic part, but a straight American girl," Cervantes tells us of González's character, who will be named Brittany.

In addition to González, the film will also star Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter films, and Cameron Monaghan from Shameless.

"The whole movie takes place during a single summer," Cervantes says of the movie's plot. "[It's about] a small-town girl who lives to compete in beauty pageants. She'll be facing a huge challenge when her main love interest [Bumbershoot, played by Monaghan] becomes her biggest opponent at the town's beauty pageant."

All Hail the Squash Blossom Queen is set to begin shooting in April 2014. They are currently looking at filming in Georgia or Washington (interesting side note: Hemsworth will film Mockingjay in Georgia).

González tweeted earlier today in anticipation of her new role, "Can wait to start shooting!! this is gonna be sick!! ☺ @SqshBlssmFilm @CameronMonaghan @thisisbwright."

González's name blew up earlier this week when she was spotted hanging out with Miley Cyrus' ex in Las Vegas. They were then snapped kissing passionately back in L.A. outside her Beverly Hills apartment.
