Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is easily the most-buzzed about new drama debuting this season, thanks to its ties to The Avengers franchise and the fact that it comes from Buffy and Firefly's Joss Whedon, one of TV's most beloved minds. Thankfully, the ABC drama more than lives up to the hype, delivering action, laughs and mystery and the much-anticipated return of Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg), while introducing us to some fresh new talent who can more than hold their own with the Avengers fan favorite.
But the series' true standout? English newcomer Elizabeth Henstridge, who plays Simmons, one-half of the S.H.I.E.L.D. team's adorkable tech duo, along with Iain De Caestecker's Fitz. (Fitzsimmons, get it?!) Think Buffy's Willow crossed with Dollhouse's Topher. An irresistable combination, right?
