AP PhotoBritney Spears confirmed her Las Vegas residency on Good Morning America Sept. 17—but the big announcement was hardly a secret, given that she'd been in talks with Planet Hollywood since early 2013. What was surprising, however, was that the pop princess spoke rather candidly about exes Jason Trawick and Justin Timberlake during her interview with Sam Champion.
"During this album, I had a breakup with Jason that I went through that I wrote a lot about," Spears said of her former fiancé, with whom she split in January after a 13-month engagement. "Breakups suck, man! They do." (Her untitled eighth studio album drops Dec. 3.)
Participating in a lightning round of questions, Spears was asked how old she was when she had her first kiss. "Oh, my god," she squealed, appearing slightly embarrassed. "Maybe 13?" Champion then asked the mom of two who she smooched. "It was Justin," she replied, referring to her former Mickey Mouse Club costar. (The musicians reconnected years later and dated from 1999 to 2002.)
Spears, who's currently seeing lawyer David Lucado, is excited to be bringing her act to Sin City. "I really enjoy what I do. I have fun performing," she said. "I feel like I'm at home on stage and I feel blessed that I'm able to do that, that this is my job."
Even for Spears, it's hard to believe that her debut single, "...Baby One More Time," was released 15 years ago. "When I first started out I always wanted to make just enough money to buy a beautiful home in Louisiana and to have kids and do that," she admitted. "I never thought I was going to continue to do what I do."
