Girls: 3, Boys: 1

Sorry, Simon, but it looks like you're overwhelmingly outnumbered this season on The X Factor! Tonight is the season-three premiere of the Fox reality competition, and according to sophomore judge Demi Lovato, the theme of this year's show is definitely girl power.

We caught up with Lovato, Paulina Rubio, Kelly Rowland, and Simon Cowell at The X Factor premiere party last week to get all the scoop on the new dynamics between the judges and which singing sensations have the potential to make it all the way to the end of the competition.

Watch: Girl Power Dominates "X Factor" Panel

Cowell, who was looking particularly cool and collected in his shades, told us that he's used to always being surrounded by women. He explained, "Well that's my life. It's always been that way, I've always had my ex-girlfriends around, a lot of my friends are girls and working with three girls on the panel was just a natural extension of that."

The soon-to-be father says that even though he's outnumbered on the panel, he has no intentions of losing his power position as the judge who started it all. "Girls are running the show right now but that will change, trust me," he promised.

Veteran judge Lovato says that she is excited for fans to see the amazing crop of new singers this season—and there's one contestant in particular that we all should keep an eye on. "There was one woman—and it was really weird, because she looked like she was like 30 but she's 54—she has the voice and she really embodies Whitney Houston when she performs," the new Glee star said. "So that was pretty incredible."
