Is that you, Dakota Johnson?

Just one day after the newly announced star of Fifty Shades of Grey was spotted stripping down to her underwear on the set of her upcoming flick Cymbeline, the 23-year-old blond beauty was snapped sporting a brown wig while filming in NYC.

The stunning star looked almost unrecognizable with her super-short brunette locks, rocking an oversize army green jacket, yellow shades and a tattered white shirt while flashing a small smile with a water bottle in hand.

The upcoming flick, which also stars Ethan Hawke, Milla Jovovich, Penn Badgley and Ed Harris is a modern-day spin on William Shakespeare's famous play of the same name.

On Monday, it was announced that the young star will play Anastasia Steele in the highly anticipated big screen adaptation of E.L. James' erotic thriller opposite Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam, who is set to play Christian Grey.

The pair's casting has received a great deal of backlash, with overzealous fans even starting an online petition to have Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel recast in the roles.

The White Collar star has since said he is "touched" by the attention, but is "looking forward to seeing the movie with Charlie and Dakota."

Despite the casting news being met with mixed reactions, Dakota has at least one die-hard fan in her court: her mother, Melanie Griffith.

"My beautiful child Dakota has been chosen to play Anna Steele in 50 Shades!!! Look out world!" Griffith, 56, tweeted on Monday, Sept. 2. "Here she comes!!! #proudmama."

Filming on the flick will reportedly begin November 5 in Vancouver, with a release date of Friday, August 1, 2014.

Can't wait!

(E! and Universal Pictures are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
