Angelina Jolie is being applauded for her humanitarian efforts.

The mother of six will receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the Academy's 5th Annual Governors Awards Saturday, Nov. 16.

Angela Lansbury, Steve Martin and Piero Tosi will also be presented with Honorary Awards by the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences at the ceremony, which will take place at the Ray Dolby ballroom at the Hollywood & Highland Center.

"The Governors Awards pay tribute to individuals who've made indelible contributions in their respective fields," Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs said in a statement. "We couldn't be more excited for this year's honorees and look forward to bringing their peers and colleagues together to celebrate their extraordinary achievements."

The Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, is given "to an individual in the motion picture industry whose humanitarian efforts have brought credit to the industry," while the Honorary Awards are given "to honor extraordinary distinction in lifetime achievement, exceptional contributions to the state of motion picture arts and sciences, or for outstanding service to the Academy."

Brad Pitt's missus is being bestowed with the accolade for her continued advocacy for humanitarian causes as the UNHCR Special Envoy travels the world to bring injustice to light.

Most recently, the 38-year-old actress spoke out about the mistreatment of children in Syria, and in June, the Oscar winner traveled to Jordan for World Refugee Day.

Congrats! We can't think of any do-gooder more deserving.
