Michelle Williams is making her Broadway debut!

The Oscar nominee will take on the role of Sally Bowles in the Roundabout Theater Company's upcoming revival of Cabaret, a source confirms to E! News (the news first reported by theater blog lemonwade.com). The revival will also star Alan Cumming as the cabaret M.C. (a role that earned him a Tony in the musical's 1998 revival).

Before Williams, Emma Stone was also reportedly attached for the role of Sally.

Williams sure has some big shoes to fill. The role of Sally Bowles is most closely associated with Liza Minnelli's Oscar-winning performance in Bob Fosse's 1972 film adaptation of Cabaret.

Somehow, we think the three-time Oscar nominee will do just fine. She most recently showed off her singing chops playing Marilyn Monroe in My Week With Marilyn.

The Roundabout Theater has yet to make the official casting announcement. A rep for Williams did not immediately respond for comment.
