Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson will star in the upcoming movie version of Fifty Shades of Grey, it was announced Monday, Sept. 2, but not everyone was thrilled with the casting choice for Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

The backlash from some fans was similar to what happened just weeks ago when Ben Affleck was cast as Batman in the Man of Steel sequel. Fifty Shades of Grey producer Dana Brunetti felt this firsthand.

"@DanaBrunetti knows how @BenAffleck feels today," wrote a fan, as retweeted by Brunetti himself. "There's a reason these guys are successful people. #chillthef—kout"

"Thx to all the fans of @E_L_James FSOG for their overwhelming support of the casting choices," he tweeted. "@MichaelDe_Luca &I can't wait to start filming." He also retweeted a fan who wrote, "@DanaBrunetti I hate you. #NoMattNoAlexisNoMovie"

"There can only be one... and it is done," Brunetti added.

Valid point. And if author E.L. James is "delighted" for Hunnam and Johnson to have some fun in that Red Room of Pain, the rest of us need to submit ourselves to the casting choice.

Laters, babe.
