The new 'do is dramatically different from her previous chin-length style and from some angles it even seemed to have a bowl cut effect. She paired her new hairstyle with a black halter-top (with sexy see-through midriff-section) and high-waist pink pants and performed several of her hits including a duet with Maxwell.
Of course, we already know short hair is the biggest beauty trend of 2013. With stars such as Beyoncé, Coco Rocha and Rihanna most recently chopping off their locks. But Alicia is the first celeb to combine the trend with fringe.
That being said, she comes in second when it comes to debuting bangs this week. Hayden Panettiere was first, showing off a similar fringe style on Wednesday. Could this mean blunt bangs be in for fall?
