We're guessing no twerking was involved. (Then again, this is Miley Cyrus we're talking about, so you never know.)

Following her headline-making MTV Video Music Awards performance, the "We Can't Stop" singer apparently opted to skip one of the show's after-parties and headed over to a New York City recording studio to work with none other than Kanye West, according to reports.

Page Six, which first broke the news, says the two got together for a late-night, "top secret" collaboration.

The outlet added that Cyrus will appear with the rapper on a remix of his "Black Skinhead" as part of a remix EP scheduled to drop later this year.

Of course, this isn't the only collaboration on the 20-year-old's plate.

A source has confirmed to E! News that Cyrus and Justin Bieber have recorded a new track called, appropriately enough, "Twerk."

The up-tempo song, which also features Bieber's pal Lil Twist, has not officially been released yet, and there is no word yet on whether or not the one that is out there right now is the final version of the tune.
