Such is the case with Union J star George Shelley, who not only caught the eye of Selena Gomez, but actually received a video message from the "Come & Get It" songstress asking him about possibly getting together some time.
"Hey, George, it's Selena. I was in London for a bit and I'm actually bummed I missed you, so next time maybe give me a call," Gomez, 21, said in the clip that was shown to Shelley during Union J's recent appearance on the CBBC show Friday Download, much to the delight of the 20-year-old singer.
"Selena's one of those massive celebrities who doesn't even know you exist, so I was gob-smacked," Shelley told The Mirror of the video message. "I thought it was a lookalike at first. I could feel my cheeks going red and the lads laughed at me."
Meanwhile, a rep for Union J tells E! News that the band will be supporting Gomez in Lisbon, Portugal, next month, so Shelley hopes he will get to meet her then.
Well, they do make a pretty pair.
