Giada De Laurentiis Dishes on New Las Vegas Restaurant: "It's a Huge Adventure for Me"

Las Vegas is getting a big slice of Giada De Laurentiis.

The Food Network celebrity chef, known for her fun and delicious Italian meals, is hard at work preparing for the opening of her very first restaurant in Vegas.

"It's so exciting. I have been like over the moon since March when I knew," the Everyday Italian author told Marc Malkin at the Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival. "It's a huge adventure for me."

Her newest business venture will be no easy task. "It's a big restaurant. It's 350 seats," Giada said. "I've never had a restaurant ever, so it's a huge endeavor."

But no matter what happens, the excited chef is savoring the moment. "It's a really fun adventure and I'm just going to take it one day at a time and enjoy the process," she said. "Whatever the outcome is, it is. But it should be really fun."

Fans can enjoy her delicious Italian cooking when the restaurant opens in early 2014 at the all-new Gansevoort Las Vegas resort.
