Busy Philipps is finally answering the big question we've all been wondering about since having her second daughter in July.

Why did she and hubby Marc Silverstein name her Cricket?

"She didn't have a name for a week," Philipps said at the Comedy Central roast of her fellow Freaks and Geeks alum James Franco, an occasion which also marked her first red carpet since the birth. "We were sort of panicking. We had these other, more normal names picked out and none of them suited her."

Cricket was Silverstein's idea. "He just loved that name," Philipps said. "He's like, 'Cricket is the coolest girl in school. She's like the camp counselor that you have a crush on.'"

He's already got her life mapped out, doesn't he?

"Kind of, a little bit," Philipps laughed. "I think he secretly had a crush on a girl named Cricket when he was in high school."

Philipps said she knew there would be some backlash, but they weren't going to let that stop them from going with the unconventional moniker.

"It's weird people think my kids will be in therapy because of their names," Philipps tweeted shortly after E! News exclusively reported the baby's name. "Guys, my kids will in be therapy for lots of reasons, I'm sure."

Meanwhile, Philipps told us what it was like meeting Franco for the first time on the set of Freaks and Geeks back in 1999.

"We were kids," she said. "We were 19. I was terrified because I had never been on a set before. He immediately started pushing me around and I started pushing him around. Then we hated each other and loved each other at the same time."

They also had to lock lips quite often.

"We made out a lot," Philipps laughed. "We made out a lot on the show. Not in real life, but on the show."

Fake or not, Philipps remembered, "He was a great kisser."
