Divergent Trailer Blows Open the VMA Preshow With Hot New Footage

"The future belongs to those who know where they belong," and you belong in a movie theater in 2014 to watch this flick

A dystopian future has never looked so good.

And that's all thanks to the action-packed new trailer for Divergent that dropped during the pre-show for Sunday night's VMAs.

For those who aren't hip to the cult science fiction fan fave that's due to hit theaters in 2014, Shailene Woodley plays a sci-fi square peg who doesn't fit in with her restrictive society where, "The future belongs to those who know where they belong."

Shailene is clearly one kick-ass misfit, especially when she gets some hunky help from rebel rascal Theo James.

In this new trailer we get way more action than we glimpsed in the cool Comic-Con photos or the very brief teaser trailer as our divergent heroes jump off buildings, employ futuristic kung fu and lock and load hella-big guns.

You know where you belong in the future? Watching this movie.
