The opening number of the Video Music Awards is a big deal, so Lady Gaga is making sure she gives a performance to remember.
MTV announced on Monday that the pop singer will kick off music's big show tomorrow night, by taking the stage to belt out "Applause," the first single from her highly anticipated album Artpop, at Brooklyn's Barclay Center.
And that can only mean one thing—practice, practice, practice!
Gaga has been going at it today, rehearsing for her sure-to-be extravagant show opener at the VMAs, and tweeting photos throughout the process for her fans.
"VMA Rehearsal," she tweeted late last night, with a black and white photo of herself with a group of dancers.
Mother Monster followed up with another monochromatic photo of the star posing in dance attire, "We're opening the show! 'Applause' starring Lady Gaga."
The singer joins an already impressive list of performers that includes Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke.
