Nigella Lawson has broken her silence in the most delicious way possible.

The celebrity chef, who has kept mum since photos were published in June of husband Charles Saatchi grabbing her throat, took to Twitter on Tuesday and posted a pic of a piece of cake.

"Yum: settling down to The Great British Bake Off with a slice of this blackcurrant Victoria sponge #GBBO," Lawson wrote.

When asked by one of her followers if she had baked it or simply bought it, the 53-year-old replied with the obvious answer: "I MADE IT - though it wouldn't get me far in the #GBBO!"

While Lawson did actually tweet one time back in June as all the drama surrounding her and Saatchi was going down, it was simply a photo of a birthday cake, without any sort of caption.

Last month, Lawson and Saatchi were granted a "decree nisi," which under U.K. law is a routine, early stage decree for divorce proceedings before a final ruling becomes binding.

The two now are waiting for the required six weeks to pass before they can be granted a "decree absolute," which will finalize their divorce and put an end to their 10-year marriage.

Lawson and Saatchi separated soon after photos were published in The Mirror's Sunday People showing the former advertising bigwig grabbing his wife's throat during an argument at Scott's restaurant in Mayfair, London. The images prompted an investigation by authorities, who ultimately gave Saatchi a warning for assault.

Saatchi announced on July 6 that the pair was getting a divorce. It was also revealed that he and Lawson have no plans to make financial claims against each other.
