Olivia Wilde was clearly not wild about participating in one of David Blaine's stunts.

While appearing on Monday's Late Show, the actress recalled how the famed illusionist-cum-endurance artist came over to her house to do some magic for an upcoming special he was shooting. But there was one trick she and fiancé Jason Sudeikis opted to pass on.

"He wanted us to hold him underwater for 15 minutes," Wilde told David Letterman. "The best was, he said, 'It doesn't matter if I'm thrashing, if I'm begging for my life, you can't let me up. You just have to hold me down.' I just don't want that responsibility."

Wilde continued, "I didn't do it because then they asked how many minutes it would take to get to the local emergency room and how long it would take a Medevac helicopter to get to my house, and I was like, this just seems like a bad idea."

And while the 29-year-old star said Blaine simply "showed up" unannounced, she was totally cool with it.

"He stayed for, like, six-and-a-half hours. It was amazing," noted Wilde. "It was like being at the best kids' birthday party ever because the magic just keeps blowing your mind."

Meanwhile, Wilde's new movie, Drinking Buddies, hits theaters on Friday.
