The first-time mom is planning on making her first official post-baby public appearance in September, palace sources tell E! News, and as of Thursday, William has already given his first TV interview since Prince George's birth.
Per the Daily Mail, that the Duchess of Cambridge and her husband will be the guests of honor at the inaugural Tusk Conservation Awards on Sept. 12. This will be the first year a top conservationist will be the recipient of the Prince William Award for Conservation in Africa.
William's passion for Africa and protecting endangered species also happens to be a topic of discussion in his first TV interview as a dad. Speaking with CNN's Max Foster, the prince talks about his hope that his son can experience the same Africa that he and Harry did when they were growing up. He'll also, of course, talk about parenthood and how becoming a father has already changed him.
The interview, which reportedly includes footage from one of Will and Kate's first outings as parents, will be part of a one-hour special, Prince William's Passion: New Father, New Hope, premiering Sunday, Sept. 15 at 10 p.m. ET on CNN.
"I've never seen him so animated," said Foster of the prince's interview. "We had lots of time with him and he was on great form."
Just yesterday, William gushed about the Prince of Cambridge at the Anglesey Show in Wales, telling the crowd his 3-week-old son is "pretty loud and of course very good-looking!" He also joked about the challenges of taking care of a newborn, saying, "I have to say that I thought search-and-rescue duties over Snowdonia were physically and mentally demanding, but looking after a 3-week-old baby is up there!"
Somehow we think he and Kate are managing just fine.
