Rush Limbaugh Weighs In on Oprah Winfrey Racism Controversy, Says Diss Was Because She's "Overweight"

Talk show host believes the media mogul's size played a part in the way she was treated at a store in Zurich

Rush Limbaugh can't seem to stop chatting about Oprah Winfrey's weight.

Much as he did last week, in which the talk show host suggested that the media mogul was discriminated at a store in Switzerland because she's "fat," Limbaugh brought it up again on his radio program Tuesday.

"Oprah is a plus-size woman and there's discrimination against plus-size women." he said.

Limbaugh, who refers to Winfrey as "The Oprah," continued, "You don't see a whole lot of really fashionable, wealthy, overweight women. Most fashionable, wealthy women are stick-thin...unless you get into the frumpy '70s and '80s. But even then it's an exception to see a very wealthy overweight fat woman. The Oprah could have suffered a double whammy when it comes to discrimination."

The comments come on the heels of the ones made by Limbaugh on his show last Friday in which he said, "We do not know [if] the salesperson based her judgment on The Oprah's skin color. The salesperson obviously thought that The Oprah couldn't afford the what is it—$38,100 bag. Maybe it's because The Oprah's fat...[and] how was The Oprah dressed? I mean, she didn't look like The Oprah, obviously. Was she wearing [a] jumpsuit with tennis shoes, maybe Air Jordans that were not lace up? I mean, who knows?"

Last week, Winfrey received an apology from Swiss tourism officials following an alleged racist encounter at a Zurich shop.

While speaking to reporters at the Los Angeles premiere of her new film Lee Daniels' The Butler, Winfrey herself apologized for specifically naming Switzerland when she spoke out about the incident during a recent interview.

"I think that incident in Switzerland was just an incident in Switzerland. I'm really sorry that it got blown up. I purposefully did not mention the name of the store. I'm sorry that I said it was Switzerland." the 59-year-old said, per the BBC.

She added, "It's not an indictment against the country, or even that store. It's just one person who didn't want to offer me the opportunity to see the bag."
