We can't figure out if Rachel McAdams dyed her hair an electric orange for an upcoming sci-fi role or if she got bored of that gorgeous rich red hue she rocked just a few months ago. We're guessing it was the latter, since her reasoning for dying it red back then was "Why not red? It was one of the last colors I hadn't tried, so I thought I'd give it a whirl."

We'll be so upset if boredom led the About Time star to dye her hair this unnatural shade of orange. We were in love with the deep red, but she also looked amazing as a blond and brunette. But let's be realistic here, the woman is stunning. It's not like the orange hair is ruining her looks.

We will say the rose-hued makeup perfectly compliments her porcelain skin and shockingly doesn't clash with the orange hair. We love how the rose tones make her hazel eyes pop and make every woman in the world want her cheekbones and skin.

Beauty Bailout: What can we really say here? We hate this orangeit's so unnatural it looks photo-shopped. But let's face it… this starlet is stunning. If she dyes her hair canary yellow or grass green she'll still look gorgeous.  Though, we are hoping she'll return to that fiery va-va-voom red sometime soon.

Get the Look:  We have to share how to get her pretty makeup! By the way, if your skin is fair like Rachel's this look is screaming your name.  It will even flatter darker skin tones. But, beware if you have puffy eyelids or that rose-colored eye shadow can make you look like you just saw one of her chic flicks or had an allergic reaction.

Start by prepping your eyelids with a primer and covering the entire upper eye area with a neutral or cream-colored eye shadow. Then apply a rose-colored powder eye shadow like MAC Eye Shadow in Girlie to the creases. To highlight, add a shimmery ivory along the brown bone and at the inner corners of the eyes.

To give your eyes more definition like Rachel's, use a navy eyeliner pencil like MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Eyes in Iridescent Navy Blue 3L along your upper lash line. Smudge the liner into the lash line to give it a softer, more-diffused effect. Finish with your favorite mascara.

To get Rachel's naturally flushed cheeks, apply a pink powder blush like NYX Powder Blush in Pinky to the apples of your cheeks, brushing upwards towards your temples for a subtle lift. Complete this look by applying a longwearing rosy pink lipstick like Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Turn On.

We do hope to find out that the reason for Rachel turning her hair a carrot shade of orange is for an upcoming role. More specifically, our fingers are crossed that she's been cast in a hush-hush Fifth Element sequel. Just like LeeLoo, Rachel would be in a wordPerfect.
