Top model rumored to be considered to star in upcoming S&M film

The rise to stardom is sometimes a windy road, but for top model Cara Delevingne, she's proving that her time in the spotlight is just beginning. 

The 20-year-old British beauty has already fronted for countless top-tier fashion brands including Fendi, Chanel, Burberry and Saint Laurent, walked in every major runway show in the world and now, she reportedly is transitioning to the big screen, specifically to star in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie.

Ambitious!

According to the Daily Mail, Delevingne has auditioned for a prized role in the erotic film based on the hit novel written by E.L. James, which will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, who just so happens to good friends with the young star.

The model is also slated to star in an upcoming film called Kids in Love, a drama about a crowd of cool kids in London who love to party.

While we still wait anxiously for the final cast to be revealed, we do know that if Cara were to land a role in the film, it would catapult her into another level of fame and prove that she's got the acting chops to match her undeniable good looks.

Other contenders to play the role of Ana Steele in the film include actresses Emma Watson, Alexis Bledel, Lucy Hale and Elizabeth Olsen.

The rumored frontrunners to potentially play the elusive Christian Grey are Robert Pattinson, Hayden Christensen, Ian SomerholderChris Pine and Alexander Skarsgård, among others.
