After a deadly explosive season-two finale, Revenge returns this fall with new faces, old vendettas and the same high-stakes drama that we've come to expect from the Sunday night smash. To get you the inside scoop on what's to come, we caught up with the cast of Revenge earlier this week at the ABC press tour party and you won't believe what they let slip!
From tensions toward Victoria's (Madeleine Stowe) long lost son, to a heart-broken Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) and Jack's (Nick Wechsler ) newfound hatred for Emily (Emily VanCamp), we're about to be thrown into a whirlwind of tension and feuds when season three premieres next month. Plus, your jaw will drop when you find out who Aiden (Barry Sloane) might be sleeping with. Spoiler alert: Emily is pissed! (And rightfully so!)
Revenge is known for their wicked web of love triangles, but according to Sloane, we're going to know exactly how Emily feels about three three men in her life. "The three guys that she's with, they're going to be really clearly defined now. We're going to know exactly how she feels about Daniel (Josh Bowman), exactly how she feels about Jack and where she is with Aiden," he says.
One thing we know for sure is that Jack and Emily are going to be in terrible terms when we see them this fall. Wechsler tells us: "It's not good. He's not happy with her and there's a lot of tension as is natural for finding out you've been lied to for two years. If she hadn't lied to him he would've never fallen in love with the wrong girl, and he wouldn't have had a child with her."
With Jack out of the picture for now, Slone feels like Aiden and Emily share an intense passion that is unlike any other relationship on the show. "Obviously with Emily and Aiden there's that fiery trust issue that has always been there from day one. They're very similar…so I'm sure there will be a lot more fireworks." The actor continues, "Who knows? Endgame maybe?"
But before these two badasses can have their happily ever after, they need to get over a few hurdles. Like the fact that Aiden is going to be "sleeping with the enemy" when season three premieres, and Sloane totally slipped up about who this mystery woman is!
"Aiden this season has a very dark energy. He's sleeping with the enemy, so it's going to be an exciting thing," Sloan said. "I'm working with Madeleine a lot which has been fantastic. Oh! I might've just given that away!" That's quite alright! Your secret is safe with us… (Cue evil cackle!)
Over in the Grayson household, Victoria, Charlotte and Daniel are trying to deal with a very difficult and terrifying reality: They're broke! But of course that is nothing compared to the fact that Victoria's long lost son has returned to her life. Stowe tells us that she and her son Patrick, played by Smallville hunk Justin Hartley, have developed a "very close relationship" over these past months together, and Daniel and Charlotte are not happy about it one bit.
Allen explains that in addition to having to deal with a "suspcicious" intruder in her family, Charlotte is having to deal with the heartbreaking repercussions of losing her unborn baby's father, Declan. "She's had to deal with the death of her one true love so she's really grown up in a lot of ways," she says. So what's a girl to do? Take a European vacation of course! However this season is not going to be all about laying out by the beach and throwing parties, Allen says that she's ready for Charlotte to follow in her half-sister's footsteps and "get a little revenge" of her own.
