Reese Witherspoon Nearly Bumps Into Ex Jake Gyllenhaal in Beverly Hills

Former couple avoid run-in while out and about

It seems as if Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal nearly bumped into each other while out and about Beverly Hills on Monday.

After getting her hair done at a nearby salon, the Oscar winner was apparently making her way through a parking lot, where her ex-boyfriend just happened to be getting into his car, the Daily Mail reports.

However, the Mail was quick to point out that the two either didn't see each other or simply chose not to exchange pleasantries.

Either way, Witherspoon (and her 'do) nevertheless looked pretty fabulous in a short red skirt. Of course, Gyllenhaal, with his hair slicked back, didn't look too shabby himself.

The pair began dating after apparently falling for each other while making the 2007 drama Rendition. When they split in 2009, a source told E! News that the breakup was completely amicable. "There are no other people involved," the source said at the time. "The relationship just ended. It fizzled."

In March 2011, Witherspoon married Jim Toth. They welcomed son Tennessee last September.

As for Gyllenhaal, he and Sports Illustrated model Alyssa Miller have been dating since at least mid-June.
