How's this for a rebound? First you're dumped on national television then you're arrested for drug smuggling.

Just days after getting dissed by The Bachelorette, Greg Todtman was busted at New York's John F. Kennedy airport and charged with trying to smuggle drugs onto his American Airlines flight to Los Angeles.

During a routine search at a security checkpoint on Friday, airport personnel found a small quantity of drugs on the 28-year-old. Todtman was then booked by the Port Authority Police Department. No word on what type of drugs the "importer" was attempting to smuggle on board.

The blue-eyed bachelor was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and later released with a desk appearance ticket which means he must appear at Queens Criminal Court in the near future to answer the charges, according to Tony Ciavolella, a spokesman for the Port Authority Police.

When asked by the Associated Press if the allegation was true, Todtman responded, "That's not untrue." He said he was carrying two codeine tablets in a chewing-gum wrapper. The pills were supposedly to help him sleep on the plane.

"Learn the lesson from me. Have a prescription," he told the AP. "And don't have a piece of aluminum foil next to something that doesn't have any label on it."

ABC spokeswoman Lauren Tobin said Todtman had not been in touch with the network since Friday. " We don't know what happened. We've heard conflicting accounts of what they found with him. Having not been there, it's not fair to speculate." Added the network rep, "We wish him the best and hope it works out for him in the best possible way."

One of the show's final four contestants, Todtman was kicked to the curb on the January 29 episode after Trista Rehn visited his Manhattan studio apartment and turned her nose up at the small space and its slobbish upkeep. Rehn's kissing quest for true love continues Wednesday night.

It's been a bad week for dating-show contestants and a great week for reality-show gossip-mongers.

Sarah Kozer, 29, one of the Cinderella-slippered hopefuls on Joe Millionaire was exposed for flaunting her dirty feet in fetish and bondage films last week. The hog-tied thespian later told reporters that "I would never do anything that I wouldn't call and tell my mother about." (Must make for interesting conversations.)

Tonight the former construction worker (or is it skivvies model?) turned phony millionaire Evan Marriott takes the show's three remaining finalists to the French Riviera, where he'll decide which woman to send home: kinky Kozer, manipulative Melissa or good-girl Zora. The series two-hour finale airs February 17 followed by a one-hour fallout special February 24.
