Jeremy Renner's dog has gone missing, and the Bourne Legacy star is asking for your help.

On July 19, the actor's 1-year-old French Bulldog, Hemi, got out of his L.A. home near Runyon Canyon when a power failure occurred and the front gate slid open. Renner, per People, is offering a $5,000 reward for the dog's safe return—no questions asked.

There's even a Facebook page devoted to Hemi's safe return, providing details on the pup and ways to ensure he makes his way back to his family. At the time of his escape, Hemi was wearing a collar but not his identification tags. He is not microchipped.

Weighing in at 25 pounds, the "very friendly" Frenchie is mostly tan with a black face. He requires daily medication for his hip condition, so by now he might have a limp or noticeable stiffness in his gait.

The dog's family immediately put up flyers and canvassed the area surrounding their home, and they're continuing to pass out handbills at Runyon Cayon. Renner's dog is also listed on Craigslist, and the actor is checking shelters regularly. A robocall urging everyone to please be on the lookout for Hemi went out to 4,000 homes in the area.

Sadly, Renner suffered heartbreak over the loss of a dog in March 2012 when his then 8-month-old Frenchie, Franklin, died of a heart attack caused by overheating.

We certainly hope, however, that Hemi's story will have a happy ending. If you see the Frenchie, please call (310) 954-9126 ASAP or email sarah@ninjadogconcepts.com. To all those in the area, please be on the lookout.
