Looks like some celebs are in the hot seat.
On Tuesday's edition of Live From E!, Jason Kennedy, Marc Malkin, and Melanie Bromley (back from London!) discussed the latest buzz in the entertainment world.
First up, the recent charges against Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe. A 39-count indictment was announced on Monday against the couple, accusing them of bank fraud, tax evasion and more. If convicted, the two could both face up to 30 years in prison.
Alicia Quarles phoned in from the East Coast to give us details on the hearing. The couple showed up at the courthouse, swarmed by paparazzi. Although Joe slapped a photographer's camera upon his arrival, he left the courthouse with his wife and parents in stony silence.
Teresa and Joe are being legally represented by individual attorneys, so does that mean one might admit to the charges while the other goes free? How will this incident play into the Bravo series storyline? Although Melanie believes this would generate excitement for the show, there could be complicated legal issues involved.
Justin Bieber is also in the spotlight for potential legal trouble.
Not only does the singer owe money to Germany for his pet monkey, Mally, marijuana was seized from one of his tour buses. (Bieber was not on the bus in question when it was stopped, his rep telling us, "It wasn't Justin's bus.")
In a recent interview with The Daily Beast, Sharon Osbourne gave her opinion (as she does on The Talk) on the Biebs, criticizing him and all the recent controversy surrounding him in the media. Were her comments out of line or necessary? Find out what our panel thinks!
Also on today's show, the group applauded two famous women for their recovery from heartbreak.
Jennifer Aniston opened up in the September issue of Glamour magazine about what advice she'd give to herself in her 30s. The actress, now happily engaged to Justin Theroux, has been more open and candid about her "Brad Pitt years" since moving on and finding happiness, which she calls "a choice."
Taylor Swift, who is often mocked for dating around and singing about her exes, has been single and keeping her love life out of the spotlight for quite some time now (six months, according to Melanie). The award-winning singer teamed up with Carly Simon to perform the "ultimate breakup song"—You're So Vain. And according to Marc, Simon even told her younger counterpart who the song is about.
