Little Monsters rejoice! Your beloved Mother Monster is back.

After six months away from the stage and media spolightlight, due to a very serious hip injury, Lady Gaga is coming back full force. And that means shocking her fans with a totally new look. After all, the singer is always reinventing herself—especially when she's got a new album coming out.

Yesterday the singer released cover artwork for her new single "Applause," which hits stores Aug. 19. The song will be featured on her upcoming album Artpop, being released in November of this year.

This exciting news comes just days after the singer began slowly revealing a new look, most recently at a party in the Hamptons over the weekend. At the fete the normally dramatically dressed-up diva was surprisingly low-key, sporting a minimal makeup look, bleached eyebrows and a nose ring.

This new stripped-down look is part of her latest evolution in beauty and fashion. Which explains why the singer posed completely nude in her cover shoot for V Magazine.

"There's a sense of stripping bare and then putting things back on. That's the process she's going through," photographer Van Lamsweerde—who shot the September issue images—explains to WWD.  "For her it's a part of that not hiding behind wigs and glasses and all kinds of stuff."

But that doesn't mean Lady Gaga's new look won't include some amazing duds too.

The singer's stylist, Maxwell, confirms Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Versace, Armani and Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurent are all in the process of creating custom pieces for the star.

"It's more toned down and pulled back and chic," Maxwell tells WWD. "But it's also that we're making suits out of things that they would not normally be made out of, like plastic, but they're super well-tailored and clean. Maybe she's just wearing a simple catsuit and a head wrap like she's wearing here, but we sort of do the craziness on the face."
