From Star Trek and Fringe producers Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman comes Sleepy Hollow, a new drama debuting this fall that brings Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and the Headless Horseman's epic battle to 2013, and we've got your exclusive first look at the highly-anticipated new series.
And what a first look it is as it teases time-travel, romance, mystery and a few jokes courtesy of a time-travelin' Icabod! Seriously, is it Sept. 16 yet?!
Sleepy Hollow is a modern retelling of Washington Irving's classic story, which finds Crane time-traveling from 1820 to 2013, where he teams up with a young Cop Det. Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie), who has some supernatural experience of her own, in order to save humanity from unprecedented evil aka a horseman sans head. In our exclusive sneak peek, the tension is thick between the duo as she threatens to shoot him after he asks her if she's been "emancipated," but Mills soon realizes Crane is the key to stopping the murders. Too bad her boss, played by Orlando Jones, thinks "Captain America" is in desperate need of "a straitjacket."
Oh, and George Washington plays into the big mystery as well. Prepare to geek out, history buffs!
Sleepy Hollow premieres Monday, Sept. 16 on Fox.
