Nicole Richie may be used to being the center of attention, but in her latest campaign for her House of Harlow jewelry line, the Fashion Star mentor is sharing the spotlight—with a dog!

The 31-year-old gave us an exclusive sneak peek at the campaign for her House of Harlow fall collection, in which she poses alongside her German Shepherd, Iro.

"Unfortunately, I'm not the star of this entire shoot. I have been joined by someone whose star shines much brighter than mine," jokes Richie about her furry friend and costar.

And though Iro is definitely cute—and adorably sticks by Richie's side for most of the shoot!—we're pretty sure all eyes will be on the gorgeous gal and her beautiful baubles.

The fashion designer stuns with sexy yet simple volumized hair, which she specifically wanted for the campaign, which was shot by Alan Silfen at Los Angeles' Milk Studios.

"I wanted the hair to be extremely loose," she explained. "I wanted to be able to move it around. This shoot is just—its not necessarily still shots, so it was important for me to not have it be one specific style. I just wanted to have a lot of volume and I wanted it to be extremely loose."

She paired her swingy strands with a ‘60s-inspired beauty look that included slightly smokey eyes with lush lashes and a subtle, pale lip.

"Nothing too drastic because, again, the focus is all about the jewelry," Richie said about her understated makeup.

So, what exactly can we expect from the jewelry that the mother of two models?

""The collection is pretty much inspired by music," said Richie, who specifically turned to ‘70s punk to get her creative juices flowing. "With this collection, I actually took that inspiration and made it a bit more literal, so you'll see a lot of guitar pics, really cool safety pins.

And as for how to wear her latest House of Harlow offerings, Richie suggests being liberal with your layering.

"My philosophy, really, is that more is more," she revealed.

Can't argue with that!
