The doctor is in...and he looks good!

James Franco has begun filming his two-episode guest arc on The Mindy Project and already seems to have made quite the impression on the Fox hit's stars. Writer and co-star Ike Barinholtz gave fans their look at Franco on set when he posted a photo of the duo with the caption: "Cool guyz."

And Barinholtz wasn't done teasing fans about Franco's highly-anticipated debut as Dr. Leotard as he later posted a photo of the Oscar-nominated actor with Mindy Kaling and Chris Messina, captioned "Thug life." Are yuo dying? 'Cause we're kind of dying.

Franco will make his Mindy Project debut in the season two premiere on Sept. 17 as Dr. Leotard, the charismatic former model who decided to become a doctor after a pregnant woman saved him when he walked off a runway. Expect to see major tension between Dr. Leotard and Mindy as he's the doctor who filled her spot at Shulman & Associates after she decided to go to Haiti with Pastor Casey (Anders Holm).

And yes, judging from the photos it seems Mindy decided to keep her hair short! We like!

Kaling also tweeted about Franco's time on set, simply writing, "I f--cking love james franco."

Kaling and Franco have worked together before as they both played themselves in this summer's hit comedy This Is the End, which was written and co-directed by season one The Mindy Project guest star Seth Rogen.

Franco isn't the only new face fans will be seeing in season two: Happy Endings' Adam Pally has joined the cast as another new doctor at Shulman & Associates.

When we chatted with Barinholtz about season two, he teased that Mindy and Casey may not return from Haiti as a couple, saying, "We're going to deal with that relationship, finding out if that's still going to work."

The Mindy Project returns Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 9 p.m. on Fox.
