Justin Goes Timber!

Hobbled 'N Syncer forced to cancel several promotional apperances for his new solo album

Justin Timberlake has good reason to cry himself a river: He broke his tootsy.

Prepping for a mini-promotional tour of Europe to hype his recently released solo album, Justified, the 'N Syncer took a tumble while practicing a dance routine over the weekend, snapping a bone in his foot.

Timberlake was rehearsing for the Smash Hits T4 Poll Winners Party, which he was set to cohost with Kelly Osbourne in London on November 24, when the misstep occurred.

As a result of the spill, the hobbled crooner's been put in plaster per doctor's orders and forced to nix dates in Britain, France and Canada over the next two weeks.

"I am sorely disappointed that I must miss any scheduled events," Timberlake said in a statement released through his publicist. "However, I must adhere to my physician's recommendations and rest. I look forward to being able to perform again and hope to see all my fans soon."

That includes the disappointed teenyboppers camping out for more than 24 hours for the chance to catch a glimpse of the former Mr. Britney at a Canadian radio station, where he was supposed to make an appearance Wednesday night.

No word yet on whether the injury will sideline Timberlake's scheduled performance at the annual Billboard Music Awards December 9, in Las Vegas.

For that gig, Justin was planning on pulling out all the stops, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, spending thousands of dollars of his own money for a special effect that would have created the illusion of him walking on water.

Now, he's lucky if he's walking at all.

Although Timberlake might be on the DL, his Michael Jackson-influenced Justified shows little signs of stumbling. The album debuted at number two on the pop chart last week, selling more than 439,000 copies. The disc is at number four on this week's listing with another 189,000 sold.

Meanwhile, Justified's second single, "Cry Me a River," which the popster cowrote with Timbaland and Scott Storch, is slated to premiere on MTV on November 25.
