Teresa Palmer is one fashionable gal.

Whether the Warm Bodies star is on set filming a hit movie, walking the red carpet or simply hitting the streets, she always manages to look incredibly chic with her effortless, cool-girl style.

Want to steal her look this season? We tapped the Australian beauty on the red carpet at the CFDA Awards in New York City to catch her three rules on how she plans to look flawless this summer.

Here's what she shared:

1. Get a Bikini. "Every woman needs a really good bikini for the beach," she says. Our tip: Buy something that not only looks cute, but also makes you feel comfortable and beautiful. If you're not comfortable in an itsy bikini top? Don't fret! Try an option with a tad more coverage. And if vibrant prints aren't your thing, opt for a bikini in a neutral, like black or brown.

2. Buy Easy Tees. While we caught Teresa in a gorgeous custom-made Yigal Azrouël dress at the CFDA Awards, she can't get enough of simple cotton T-shirts for summer. "You can pair an easy tee with anything from cutoffs to skinny jeans," she says. If you really want to make a statement this summer, try a bold graphic tee, instead of something neutral to stand out. The best part? You can instantly dress one up with a blazer, fitted trousers and classic pumps for work or, like Teresa mentioned, dress one down with jeans for the weekend.

3. Slip Into Really Good Sandals. Not only do classic strappy sandals look adorable, but they also let your feet breathe on those super hot days. "You always need a nice sandal to stay cool," she says. Try a neutral flat pair that will easily take you from the beach with a swimsuit to casual date night when paired with an adorable floral dress.

Great tips, Teresa!

Now we can see why the sun-kissed star always looks so effortlessly cool.
