Watch: Michael and Carole Middleton Talk New Grandson

It was kind of a given that Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal baby would be an attractive human being, but now grandma Carole Middleton has confirmed it!

On Tuesday, the duchess's parents dropped by St. Mary's Hospital to meet their grandson for the first time. When they exited the Lindo Wing shortly after 5 p.m. local time, Carole, with husband Michael Middleton by her side, told reporters excitedly the Prince of Cambridge is "absolutely beautiful!"

The future King of England is "doing really well," she said, adding that her first time holding the baby boy was "amazing."

As for new mum Kate and first-time father Wills? They're doing "fabulously," said Carole.

"We are so thrilled," she added.

We're thrilled, too, obviously! We just wish the prince's grandmum would've given a tiny hint at what he'll be called. But when a cheeky reporter asked if she'd given any of her own suggestions for the royal baby's name, Carole replied with a smile, "Absolutely not!"

Patience is a virtue...or so we're told.
