When you visit the home of one of a fashion's living legends, there's one room above all that you absolutely have to visit: the closet!

And that's just what blogger Natalie Joos of Tales of Endearment did when stopping by Diane von Furstenberg's Connecticut estate, Cloudwalk. In fact, Joos reveals on her blog that she was the first person to ever have access to von Furstenberg's drool worthy archives.

Luckily for us, Joos shot the many impressive looks she pulled from 66-year-old's fab fashion stores at her sprawling east coast estate,

Models Tali Lennox (as in the daughter of Annie Lennox), Laura Love and Elizabeth Gilpin posed in everything from red fringe pants and Stetson hats to Giorgio di Sant' Angelo skirts and vintage Louboutins.

Of course, the gals also showed off a series of von Furstenberg's iconic wrap dresses and accessories from the designer's latest collection.

Furstenberg's home proved just as chic as the fashion guru's personal clothing collection, making for a luxe backdrop.

"I am very timeless, my taste is very timeless," von Furstenberg told Joos of her personal style. "I like everything that is effortless."

Indeed, von Furstenberg's personal library, which together with her bedroom, studio and library are separate from the main house, exudes a fuss-free modern elegance that perfectly complemented many of the looks we saw on the models.

Von Furstenberg, Joos and the leggy ladies also took to Cloudwalk's gorgeous green grounds for photo ops alongside lush trees, pools and even a tree trunk shaped to resemble a berry colored lipstick!

"I love colors, I love—you know, if people asked me about colors, I would just say, ‘Imagine a garden in black and white, how sad it would be," von Furstenberg said.

While there's no doubt that vivid hues inspire her, she's not so quick to embrace the vintage garb that so many of her peers turn to when creating collections.

"I didn't even know about the word vintage or anything like that. Women inspire me, images inspire me, details inspire me, old photographs…yeah," she explained when asked if vintage looks inspired her.

"I don't have to wear vintage," she went on to confidently assert.  "I am a vintage."

Boom! Spoken like a true living legend.
