Emma Roberts Goes Back to Blond—See the Pic!

Actress goes lighter for summer

A month after Emma Roberts proclaimed she was going dye her hair "a cool color," the actress did just that.

Over the weekend, the 22-year-old tweeted: "Time for a change. Blondes have more fun #?" And quickly followed up with a photo of her new blond color and the caption: "Nine Zero One worked their magic on me."

The star was referring the popular West Hollywood Salon that celebs such as Julianne Hough, Nina Dobrev, and Selena Gomez also frequent.

But a new hue wasn't the only change Roberts got on Saturday: She also got extensions.

Although blond seems to be a popular color change—most recently Julianne Moore went lighter for a film—going long is not. Most stars are opting for the big chop in 2013.

While Emma's next project is the upcoming third season of FX's American Horror Story: Coven, it is unclear if the new color is for that role.

However it is a safe bet that Julia Roberts' niece will be flaunting her golden strands while promoting her new flick We're the Millers, which hits theaters Aug. 7. She will be joined on the red carpet with another famous blonde, actress Jennifer Aniston, who also stars in the comedy.

Roberts has a long history of switching back and forth between her natural brunette shade and the blonde tint. In fact, the star kept a golden hue for most of last year.
