That's they only world we can manage to squeak out after Teen Wolf's July 15 episode, "Currents," which saw the death of a major character. Make that the heartbreaking, devastating death of a major character. Well, at least we know the cast and executive producer Jeff Davis will have something to talk about during the MTV hit's Comic-Con panel this Thursday!

Rest in peace, Boyd (Sinqua Walls)!
Yes, Derek's (Tyler Hoechlin) fan favorite pack member was killed by Kali (Felisha Terrell), with the help of her fellow packmembers Ethan (Charlie Carver) and Aiden (Max Carver) as a warning for him to join their Alpha pack. Kali warns that Derek has until the next full moon to make his decision or she'll kill the rest of his pack.
"I'm sorry," a broken Derek says to Boyd as he dies in his arms. As if Derek didn't have enough to brood over!
But Boyd's death wasn't the only gamechanger in "Currents": Scott (Tyler Posey) is revealed to be a True Alpha, one who rises purely on the strength of their character and their virtue; a sheer force of will. A True Alpha comes along once every hundred years, which is why head Alpha Deucalion (Gideon Emery) is really after Scott, not Derek.
Line of the Night: "My last boyfriend was a homicidal lizard, so I think I can handle a werewolf." Oh Lydia (Holland Roden), never change.
