Jane Lynch is looking to make her split official.

About a month after confirming that she and psychologist Lara Embry were ending their marriage, the Glee star filed for divorce Friday.

The ladies tied the knot in Sunderland, Mass., on May 31, 2010. (Same-sex marriage has been legal in the Bay State since 2004.)

Lynch, who cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split, gave Feb. 7 as their date of separation, according to court documents filed in L.A. Superior Court and obtained by E! News.

She noted in her filing that they had their domestic partnership legally established in California on July 10, 2010, and neither she nor Embry needed to be a resident or own a home in the state in order to dissolve their partnership there.

"Lara and I have decided to end our marriage," the 52-year-old actress said in a statement back in June. "This has been a difficult decision for us as we care very deeply about one another. We ask for privacy as we deal with this family matter."

They did not have any children together. Embry has a daughter, Haden.
