Kristen Bell, Veronica Mars

Don't look now, but an avalanche of awesome just went down!

Kristen Bell will be guest starring on Parks and Recreation, sources confirm to E! News.

Are you thinking what we're thinking? Kristen was actually Parks and Rec star Adam Scott's love interest on Party Down, and as diehard Ben and Leslie shippers, we are concerned! Thankfully, Parks boss Mike Schur has given us confirmation that Kristen Bell will not be messing with our favorite couple.

"Do not fear," Schur tells E! News exclusively. "Not even the considerable charms of Kristen Bell can come between Leslie and Ben."

Amen, brotha!

According to Schur, Kristen Bell is contracted for only one episode, however, "Once people join the world of the show we love to try to get them back. She's obviously in crazily high demand, so who knows, but I love her as an actress and a comedian and I think she's going to be great."

All well and good, but let the record show we also are having a hard time swallowing Kristen's character's backstory (Kristen Bell clearly grew up among the angels, darnit!). According to EW, who first reported the casting news, Bell will play Ingrid, a snooty City Councilwoman from Eagleton (the enemy and rival town of Parks and Rec's main characters). The two will first meet up at the annual Pawnee-Eagleton high school basketball game.

Bell will shoot Parks and Recreation after wrapping up filming on the Veronica Mars movie, which is now in production in Los Angeles. The VM cast will be hitting Comic-Con in San Diego next week, and we'll have all the scoop for you from both panels. And by the way, if you're a Veronica Mars fan, please...
