Who knew the Fourth of July could be so romantic?

Ireland Baldwin proved just that on Thursday when the 17-year-old model posted an Instagram pic of herself cozying up to boyfriend Slater Trout on a paddleboard.

"Happy 4th," the daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger tweeted. "About to embark on a camping trip with @slatertrout. Hope you all have a fun holiday with your loved ones!"

Decked out in a bikini, Baldwin certainly seemed to be enjoying her one-on-one time with the 18-year-old professional stand-up paddleboarder while vacationing in Idaho. She also shared a shot of her stealing a smooch from her man as they took a dip in the lake.

Of course, such PDA doesn't exactly come as a complete surprise.

After all, the gal recently gushed about her boyfriend, telling People, "I would say he is my best friend. We have our moments, but that's rare. We can act stupid in public, private or wherever and we are always laughing."

And the two are clearly making it work despite being in a long distance relationship. (Baldwin lives in Los Angeles while Trout lives in Maui.)

One way they achieve that is by making sure to visit each other at least once a month, going back and forth between their respective homes.

"We don't do normal stuff," she told the mag. "We go paddleboarding with humpback whales in Maui. We go on athletic dates. And very romantic ones too. Like we will go to like a bluff and star gaze and go on trail runs and walk the dogs."

And although Baldwin appears to be head over heels for her beau, she's not going to rush into anything too serious, too soon.

"I have never met anyone who is a more incredible person in my life," she said. "[But] we both have lives to live and we both have careers and a lot of aspirations and things to do before we think about that."
