Happy Independence Day!

Mariah Carey sure knows how to celebrate the Fourth of July in the most spirited of ways.

The singer posted a pic on Twitter showing off her amazingly toned figure in an American flag bikini.

Carey is seen lounging on a boat with just a pair of sunglasses and a smile as her accessories for the day.

She looks incredible!

The sexy pic was captioned, "Gotta be Pon de water for the Fourth of July!"

And it appears that Mimi is taking the national holiday quite seriously, which makes sense since she's got a packed schedule and full plate of work-related duties on hand.

Just two weeks ago, she announced the delay of her next album's release date.

"While making this album, I got so immersed in the creative process that I just don't feel I would be doing it justice to release it on 7/23," she tweeted to her fans.

She added, "I'd rather not exclude meaningful songs. I want to give you this album as it's meant to be heard. When I'm ready, you'll be the first 2 know!"

But we're positive that it will be well worth the wait.

Carey did release her first single off of the album entitled "#Beautiful" featuring R&B crooner Miguel.

The two were recently in Capri to shoot a music video for a forthcoming, and yet-to-be announced, collaboration.

Days later, retail giant Walmart seemingly made a snafu when they released the album's name in an online advertisement.

Oops

The online ad, which has since been taken down, listed Carey's album title as The Art of Letting Go.

And although the pop star herself hasn't confirmed the name herself, she may have given fans a hint through her Instagram account earlier.

Along with a gorgeous photo of herself by the pool, she wrote, "A much needed splash after hours pon de mic singing for my #beautiful #lambily! Melancholic moment of letting go of something this personal to me yet I couldn't be more excited to give three years of my soul to the fans.

Hmmm..."Melancholic moment of letting go..."

We'll let you decide for yourself!
